Radiator Cap with Temp Gauge
I am going to try this on my CR 250 at least until I install a new trailtech voyager.
https://i.imgur.com/fF1u43Sm.jpg I needed to add a couple of drops of assembly lube so the cap would turn smoothly on install otherwise no issues. https://i.imgur.com/n0dBShpm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Hm5XXMFm.jpg The gauge is in Celsius, 93C is 200F and 107C is 225F. I will post updates. |
Yeah seen one of those, but thought maybe I don't want to know. Ideal temp is about 50*C for a modern 2 stroke.
Tiny radiators covered in mud, slow speeds and lots of drag will likely make for much more heat. But compromise - compromise. |

I have used these and work fine while coolant is making contact with the prob. If your not running a recovery bottle you will get false readings when the bike cools off a little after it?s been hot.

I wasn't too sure about it when I first saw it, but I have to say it works great and is pretty accurate. :) |
