Ride report

I could do one.. but I'm lazy!

Went for a ride yesterday, didn't leave until late! Out in the hottest part of the day with a few mates. Silly buggers! Next time we'll leave earlier.

Heres a pic of the GG doing what it does best! Much singles covered! Possibly more pics to follow.

Bloody dry, dusty, and hot!!

Checking the weather site it was a max of 35.4C/96F. Today felt as hot and dry as well and read 34C with 36% humidity.

We planned to leave at 10am, but didn't get going until probably 10:30-11am and were out till 2:30-3pm. Hottest part of the day, and little cloud cover. Hiding in shadows and catching breezes on ridge lines was the best it got.

I've got tan lines across my wrists where I was exposed between the gloves and jersey!!

Much looking forward to rain, and mud! Brings the best time for riding without a doubt!!! Last time it was wet, I was going back the other way on this single, and under brakes spun a full 180 degrees and was about the same as I was in this picture. Had to spin it back around and attack the gully below with enough must to get up the other side (quite short but steep). A hill earlier took over 6 attempts to succeed (which was achieved through some free riding to find traction in the long grass). The hill on the other side snakes back up to the right hand side of this pic, and took a very similar approach of going bush to hook up aiming for a general point top of the hill. Bloody good times!

We're only just starting to get the 30 degree days here in brissy, but we've had some 50% humidity already. We usually try and get out there by 6am, back at the ute by 11. It usually doesn't hit you unless you're dragging a bike around on the side of a hill.

Sure is Steve. His Husky TE250F (old red and black model), decided it didn't want to take throttle before we left so he was forced to poach a yellow submarine off a mate (who's place we left from). Big heavy bike to punt around the singles in those conditions, and it showed.

It's not often you hear "I wish I was on my husky"... let alone multiple times in a single day!

Other bloke gong up the hill was on a BMW G450X. 3rd on a Husberg FE390.

Very nice terrain but sounds very hot like here in Florida. It was burning hot here today with very high humidity, its like walking through pea soup.:( I stayed home and played the PlayStation.

27C with 79% humidity today. Waiting for some rain. Seems to fall every time I mow the yard, might give her a push this arvo.
