I like riding in the snow. We just don't get enough to do it very often.

liv2day 02-06-2015 10:33 AM

I like the rear-facing view - cool to see what your buddy is doing :D.

Did you guys run studded tires for traction? Noticed your friend had his legs out most of the time...had to be tough on the leg muscles...lol.

Beautiful scenery; like all the snow on the trees. I bet it sounded really cool to have the 2T sound reverberate off the snow - probably nice and quiet when you stopped for breaks too.

Yes we have endurostuds.

In winter we also have special boots so we can ride with legs down.
The line is often so narrow and deep so you cant actually steer the bike and keep balance. So you have to slide with your feet and keep bike up.

We get to ride in that kind of stuff all winter to and it sure is fun ! The worst part is the Frozen tracks under new snow that throw you sideways . That is why we always look for new snow .

First you have to broke your ribs.
And then your ribs hits your kidney.

Pretty serious hit it was.
Bloodweins cut of from kidney and there was serious internal bleeding.

But now everything is ok. But must take easily for a 4 months.

Suprisingly TM driver Eero Remes wins our cross country competition.;)

I was in the woods watching and can't understand that speed he drives.

Just seen first video. That is otherworldly. Never seen snow like that or the skinny trees, looks like fun, thanks for sharing. Glad you're back on the bike, been off for about 8 months with collarbone, ribs etc.

savijo 02-04-2016 12:54 AM

My first race in a year. 19/69 in C-class
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=921V1G48zt0
Route was mostly in woods.

Rode the TM 144 again cause Gas Gas lost its spark in -23 degrees Celsius.
Day before the race I got forks (KYB)and rear (?hlins) from service and shimming and just bolt it on. Wow what a difference! :)

I didnt even get tired in over 2 hour race. Maybe next time have to drive faster.

Now to the garage to put some studded tires for Gas Gas.....

P.S Accidently put the helmet backwards... Enjoy the sound. ;)

savijo 02-25-2016 03:39 AM

Last training before my first enduro race ever. Have been drivin crosscountry only.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xovkEv-nxrA

Did not go so well. Hit my leg to a tree, lost front end couple of times, lost chains, problems with front brake.... and so on. But got the suspension setup better.

Hopefully next saturday in Jamsa goes better. Im so nervous already

Good Luck next week you will do fine . Lots of people never get to ride in the snow . To bad for them , cause it sure is fun ! Enjoy the event but just do it for the FUN do not let yourself get crazy ! That kind of snow is easy on the studds not like here this year hardly any snow lots of rocks .

savijo 02-28-2016 11:35 PM

Nice work Joni!

savijo 03-10-2016 12:21 AM

I know this is Gas Gas forum but....

Finally got my new TM 144 enduro.

Nice to work with it, when everything is clean and shiny.
Very very nice work. All parts are really nicely machined and welded.
Many improvements from MY 2014
First ride today... maybe.....

144 is factory model. Even different cases than 125.

Rear shock is made by TM. They say its very very good. Last 144 I got Ohlins TTX.
But now they told me to trust factory shock.

When I get 10 hours in hour meter I'll take both end for shimming.

Hi again!

One year and 110 hours on a TM:s clock. Couldn't be more satisfied with the bike.

I will drive it for hundred more and then change it. We might get an Gas Gas importer here in Finland. Lets see? I hope Gas Gas will make little 2-Strokes too.

Here are some videos from our home track and hillpractice section.

-Joni

Only two guys have done this hill. ;) I'm the other one. :)
