Stock gearing on 300 EnduroGP

Hi all-

Just picked up my first gas gas this weekend. A 2018 300 GP.

One thing I noticed is the gearing is too steep for slower gnarly climbs (the bike wanted to be in first gear). Most of Northeast riding/racing is ~18-20mph in A class and I prefer 2nd and 3rd gear.

Does anyone know the stock ratio for the GP? Tried to look but its hidden behind the hub. Looks like the stock 2018 300EC is geared lower for better acceleration. Thanks!

Count the teeth..

Usually stock is 48 (from memory), and most people are a bit happier with 50T. Allows you to ride just about everything in 2nd with a bit of clutch, and only need 1st if goat tracking.

Coupled up with a 13T front.

Stock is 13/48. 13/50 is much better

13/52 is even better for demanding climbs.
