Floating the ground, 13 EC300

I recently purchased a 2013 EC300. I want to convert it to DC power. From my research I need to float the ground. Does anyone have the exact procedure to do it on this bike? Believe it to be a Kouksan 2K3 ignition. I already have the regulator/rectifier from trailtech.

AC_DC conversion

We talked about doing the floating ground in this thread.

But there is more (better) info in one of my later posts.

I'll have to do some searching to find it.

There is a wire in the 2K3 stator you have to de-solder and
re-solder to another location on the stator.
Then make sure all of your electronics, (except the CDI), to
the battery + and - terminals.
Make sure the isolate the rectifier/regulator housing from the
frame and ground only to the battery.
Maybe someone can search my past posts and find it.
Good luck. Jeff

I've searched everywhere I can think of that I might have
posted the AC_DC conversion topic.
ThumperTalk, SuperMotoJunkie, KDXForum and ADVRider

I know nothing ever leaves the "WEB", but, I can't find anything
I posted about doing the floating ground conversion.

I also did a DC conversion on my KDX240SM without doing a
floating ground to it's stator....

I did this maybe 10 years ago and my feeble mind can not recall
the details.
Sorry.

Send me a private message with an email address.
I found two .pdf files. One from Trail Tech and another
from Baja Designs on how to do the floating ground
on a 2K3 stator.

If your 2013 GasGas has electric start, I doubt, these will
be of help.
the file sizes are: 2.03 mb and 1.47 mb.

I was searching on their web sites and could not find
either of these files there anymore. the must have deleted
them.
Good luck.

Is this the thread? http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1859

That is the one. Don't know why I could not find it.
I did not click the links to see if they still worked.

Edit: yup.... Looks like the links are dead.

If not, the OP can get a hold of me and I can forward
the two files I have.
Thanks SS109.
