Lean response but I'm rich.

Ec 250r 2014 jetting: 45pj N3CW @4 180mj as 2 out. Bike run good on all power band but I have a lot of spooge on exhaust. My problem is leak response of throttle, on full throttle opening, when I run very slow, in first gear, almost stand.
New piston, reeds ok, 135 hours in total.

The spooge and the colour of a plug taken out in an uncontrolled setting mean that at some stage of the carburetors multiple jetting; it is rich.
They are such useless indicators that they should be ignored as they don't tell you where.

(Except perhaps a controlled flat out plug chop, but its only really road race useful and only tells you about the mainjet. If you don't do it right you are wasting your time.)

My knowledge about carb settings is ok,not super ,I have jetted some bikes,2stroke and 4stroke,with good results. But here I feel something is missing.

So,if I roll from 1/2 - wot in 3 gear ,response is good, not violent but constantly and clear. That told me about main jet,is good.
Next needle, with constant throttle position, engine run clean,in all gears.
Pilot, bike start ok,idle ok,was ok in fact now I need to touch the idle screw. ....? This, engine change behaviour tell me to inspect the crank shaft seal,RH one. Trany oil volume can't be a clue, because this happened in Las 2 hours of function.

Sorry for bad english.

Like I said, cranck shaft seal was the problem. That force me to use bigger jets.. 45pj was small!??! Now I really need to go down on pilot jet, needle was also in bad position I have changed from @4 to @3, less gas in teory but now my bike pulls very very strong from bottom end,the throttle response is instant!

Crank seal sucking air will definitely do that!

Is obvious, but at those hours, 135, is too early. Anyway my bike pulls very nice from bottom to wot. I'm a bit rich but is winter and is useless to jet ok ,because I don't ride until spring.

Pretty sure I found my 2013 model weeping some oil back past stator side seal at 1st or 2nd top end (60/120hrs) and changed it. Sometimes seals fail..

You can help the seal lifespan by filling the space between the seal lips with good quality grease (if it has double lips).
