03 EC300 crank bearing problem

Guys,
I need some advice,my trusty ec300 has developed a rough bearing noise coming from the crank.I can rotate the crank with the piston/cylinder removed and it is rough. Can anybody suggest where to get the best bearing /seal set to go back in?

Thanks,
bob

Didn't say where you're from Bob.:D
If you're State side I'd try Gofasters first.
Are you thinking of splitting your cases and installing them yourself?

get your stuff at Upstate Cycle in Greenville,sc 232 7223 they beat all of Gofasters prices and they have all the parts in stock, i know i just did my top and bottom end 2 weeks ago. if you need your crank rebuilt PM me .

If doing it yourself (I did recently) check the crank to case clearance before you disassemble it and see where the bearing is actually sitting in the case. (fully seated or slightly off the case). After heating the case and freezing the bearing, it dropped right in to the bottom, figuring this was the way it should be on my 2006.
BUT, when I put it back together the clearance was much tighter on the right side than the left. The manual says nothing about this, but I found a post here on centering the crank that said to have the bearing 1mm from being seated. Makes sense now. Looking forward to doing it again next winter and see if it does help lower vibration like it said.
If yours has the roller bearing on the left side, theres no issue there.
My right side bearing was horrid. The roller didn't seem bad at all.
(all related to a drowning so some dirt may have got in the oil passage to the right bearing)

Thanks for advice

I found all my bearings and seals @ at Applied Ind.,The exact bearings would have cost me >$200.00 from GoFasters and I got them for <$50.00.I'm still unsure if I should purchase a complete topend. My cylinder looks great but the piston to cylinder clearance seems a bit excess. Does anybody know what the clearance should be?
