Checkmate xl programming

I need a little help with programming the known into the XL. I'll link the route sheet any help you guys can give will be appreciated. What I don't know is what to enter for the value on the right.

3.00. You are 'free' 2 miles before, and 3 miles after a check. The number on the right is the amount of free miles you want. Not sure why it would change, unless you weren't using AMA rules, or you knew there would be more free territory.
