Red Bull City Scramble

Just a casual endurocross race held in the marina in Auckland City.

I was planning on entering, but breaking my leg put a stop to that.
Was a great day, weather couldn't have been better, it was free to get in to watch, we were allowed right next to the track, and to top it off, Chris Birch put his prize money on a bar tab for everyone to come and celebrate with him afterwards !!

Thanks for the share Noobi! Looked like a great setup and even though you didn't get to race I'm sure you still would have enjoyed the entertainment. Hows the injury healing??

That Chris Birch has to be one of the nicest blokes around.

Legs good, I just updated my injury thread.

If you ever get a chance to see him ride, or do a training session with him, take the opportunity. Really is one of the nicest people on the enduro circuit, in fact all of the top level enduro/extreme guys are pretty down to earth.

I would love to have a go at a course like that!! Wouldn't want to compete, I know I'm not good enough for that but just to have a go at the obstacles would be awesome!

Bet that Honda would need a rebuild after a dip in the harbour!!!! :)

Nice to see the Brits on top, did they put their winnings behind the bar?

Can't believe Bolton is wearing on orange hat now!!! What is this world coming too!

I love how Chris Birch is still acting like the new guy, his humblness will go a long way.

Here are some of the official photos that got taken, including #29 of a local trials rider clearing the second skip bin. On his first attempt at the jump he cased the bike big time on the edge of the 2nd bin, but after that he could consistently clear it, and was the only rider taking that line.

Not sure whether Bolton and Jarvis put their money on the bar, they deserved it though. Birch would have been happy so long as the the event had gone smoothly, even if he had won nothing so its a win/win for him.
