Rieju Six days Fan

Hi just purchased the six days and have the dealer installing the extra large IMS fuel tank but he says it won?t fit because of the Fan and ideas of what I can do or any other brand tanks I can buy
Thanks

Do you need the fan with the riding you do?

My fan has never come on. But then again I don't have one.

Which is more important, the fan or extra fuel?

If you gotta have both then you can remold the area that hits the fan if it isn't too extreme of a mismatch. Very careful use of a heat gun can get the plastic soft enough where you can reshape it a bit. Just don't want to overheat it or you would end up with a very expensive piece of useless plastic.

What area do you live in? The fan is excellent for riding in tight single track with sudden elevation changes. :D It allows me to ride harder because I know the cooling system will not boil over, period. I set a warning light on my trailtech that flashes when I get to 200 degrees plus. If I am coming in to a steep tough section I have a manual fan switch on my bars and click the button to activate the fan.It works very well.

I figured since it comes with a fan I would like to keep it but yes the extra fuel is more important so if anyone knows of a smaller thinner fan I can substitute
Let me know thanks

There are computer case fans that run on 12VDC. They move a reasonable amount of air. Only an inch thick if you can rig up a mounting.

the original GG fan option uses a GG trials fan, can't say if it is thinner, but i used it on my LHS radiator and it fitted under the hose. Hose did have to push out about 5mm from memory so it depends how close the hose sits to the tank at the moment.

I have a gg trials bike so could measure the thickness if you want?

Thanks I?ll look that part number up

this is the kit (it looks quite thick, but the side plastic actually hugs the sides of the radiators
