Gear Lever Cross Over
Hey all,
The spline on my gear shifter is flogged out, does anyone know if they cross to a Yamaha or anything? I'd like to grab something locally if I can, seen a few anodized ones that look good in shops but didn't have my shifter in hand to compare. BTW, after reading around on the forum about carbs etc I ordered a N3EG to replace my N1EH. The difference is unreal, so clean and crisp, no rich bogging coming out of tight woods and onto a straight. Tail pipe is clean as, no more spooge. Starts first kick hot or cold. Don't know what market this bike was meant for when it left Spain, but I have dropped the 188 main down to a 175, replaced that needle and it's a new machine. Cheers for the resource! |
A TM 2 stroke lever is the same, not that that is any easier to get! Plenty of aftermarket companies make them though. Re the needle, the gassers are amazing when jetted properly!

Good to hear re needle btw where did you source it, just today I suggested one but I cant remember where I'd got mine and if they were a YZ or ktm option.
Gear lever are not like anything Japanese. Keep tight and there's a circlip to hold it on else out can fall off. Trust me that's vexing. Aftermarket does supply. If desperate till then, clamp the spilt end in the vice and run a hacksaw cut down the split so it doesn't bottom out. |
The Emgo shifter levers work well on the older GG bikes.

AS 3 also makes a replacement shift lever. it's aluminum, black and red anodized. Hammerhead designs used to make them for GG, but quit, which was very disappointing.
