Retro fit

Anyone changed their 45mm Shivers, to Showa, or KYB? What did it take to accomplish the feat?
I've got a 2005 EC300.

I did the KYB swap on my '11 bike.
100% plug and play, if you use the Yamaha front wheel.

Yes tons of info on this site. I swapped a 2007 yz450f front end onto my 2000 XC300.
