2018 EC300 Coil Resistance values? Misfiring under load

Anyone know what the resistance values should be for a EC300 2018 coil? Trying to trouble shoot what seems to be misfire under load issue but cant find what the coil readings should be to rule it out.

I got Primary = 0.2 Ohm, Secondary 19.6k ohm (i think). I suck at electrics.....meter was on the 200k setting and it read 19.6, so whatever that translates to!

Bike idles and chugs up any hill in 1st,2nd gear but when you go to open it up it violently starts cutting out, it's worse when going up hill. Thought it was fuel related but cleaned the carb and replaced gas and made no difference. It just started doing it out of the blue, so I'm thinking it's electrical? Bikes starts very easy.

Will check stator next and fly wheel woodruff key. Hoping its not the CDI!

Check the wire from the coil to the plug cap. It screws into the coil. Unscrew it, cut a half of inch off and screw it back in.

Think we've been here another thread recently. Stator will fail like this and get progressive worse. You can't resistance test the stator properly as the insulation fails and gets worse as it gets hotter/under load.

Thanks for the info so far.

I've recently done the 'wet mod' for the starter system - would that possibly have anything to do with it? Problems only started after I did that - not immediately though. Could just be coincidence. Wondering if getting the stator and fly wheel etc covered in oil would have any detrimental issues? In saying that, I'm sure there would be a bunch of posts if this did cause a problem.

Bike has 190hrs on it.

Lots of stator live in oil, like 4 strokes. Hope you put a breather in up top of cover.

That's a bunch of hours for an 18, well done whoever. KTM used same stator there's threads to identify but likely a 2k3. Not sure if 18s were different to earlier so I'll bite my tongue a bit.

for the hell of it I tested the stator as best I could. Colours in the manual did not align to what was actually there. How hard is it to make sure the manual aligns with the bike??!!

Anyway

On the four plug
Impulse: White-brown : 94.2 (manual says 100 -+20%)
Exciter: Red blue : 15.2 (manual 12.7+-20%)

On the two wire plug)
Charging coil: Yellow brown 0.8 (manual 0.67-+20%)
Cant get any reading for any wires to earth even though it says there should be one

This seems to align with other readings in other posts. But again as mentioned above these might not be reliable as things change when the stator gets hot while riding.

Really keen to not throw money down the toilet chucking parts at it.

I did notice that the pulser/position sensor magnet has a crack in it? Is this normal or could this be the cause of my issue - see pic attached

Thanks

It doesn't look happy I'll have to admit I'm viewing on a phone at lunchtime so it's hard to tell, perhaps taken a bash from loose rotor maybe.
Only a cursory look but the later model stator are not included in the listings I'm familiar with for older ones so I'll be careful of stating the limit of my knowledge here

(ooh that sounds better than stating I'm ignorant as I've implied I'm still a guru on older stuff without the burden of proof). Damn. I should stop typing my inner monologue. Once a Super villain, old habits. . .

For anyone searching this thread in the future for what the problem was.....

Broken magnets in the flywheel was the issue. Managed to find a unicorn RH flywheel puller ( thanks GG for making life hard). Stator looked like new and tested fine. Pulled the cover off the flywheel to find the cracks and a big chip of magnet - see pics.

Now if only they sold just the flywheel!

Hooray. Glad you found it. I wasn't expecting that! Good for the memory banks. Glad you found the puller.
