Boom, have you ridden a current YZ250 2 stroke, how does the powerband of the MC250 compare to the YZ ? I am looking for MC250 but never ridden one. The EC300 is a hillclimbing tractor !

I rode a YZ 250 about a year ago and the MC 250 seems to have a smoother powerband. I don't think you can go wrong with the GG MC250. The Jap bikes do not have the longevity that the KTM's or GG's have. JMO

This is why I have gone with the European bikes. I grew up on Kawi's, Hondas, Suckazuki's, and the Yami's, so to me the Gaser is where it is at.

Thanks Boom ! I agree the GG is amazing and durable. If I get the MC250, I am going to plug in the 99 EC300 CDI box and see if that gives it more tractability along with the Fly Weight for tight woods.

G2 throttle w/#400 cam, 10 - 14 oz weight. No problems even in technical rocks. Plus, if you race in the sand, you can switch throttle cams and remove the weight, very flexible.

I'm keeping the 19", tires seem to be cheaper. I will put a wider tire on there.

My Bullet Proof guards came in today, we'll see how they fit.

I mounted some Dunlop 756s on last night-the rear tube was an 18".
The rim locks are the same as the '98 models.

The '06 Bullet "Poof" guards did not fit, so I'll have to wait until the '07 versions come out.

Girard,

I could send you a template I made for my custom headstays. They enable you to mount the '06 Flatlands with relocated rear mounts. About a nights work in fabrication. Very strong.

Glenn.

The radiator fits "into" Bullet Proof guards.
The inner bolt holes line up perfect.
The threaded outer holes are about a half inch off from the holes in the radiator.
The bottom lip on the guards also hit the radiator tank.

I'll wait for the right ones.
