2011 Nambotin eStart kit?

I'm trying to get some info on what it would take to add a magic button to my Nambotin 300. Do I need to replace the seat and plastics to do it?

Some may see it as sacrilegious, but I've been on the button for too long to give it up now. :)

Found a couple threads like the one below but having an issue finding specifics for my bike in particular.

I found the eStart kit for around $975, but don't need a battery as I already have a lith ion. http://www.ktm-parts.com/EE855002510.html

From the description it looks like I don't need a fender and seat.

Convert your 1996 and newer GasGas to an electric start bike. This kit includes everything it takes to convert, except rear fender and seat. For 1996 thru 2006 you will also need a seat and rear fender.

The bulk of the cost of that kit is the subframe with the built in battery box. As you already have a battery set up, you probably dont need the new subframe. You need everything in the ktm-parts picture except for the subframe, battery and subframe related things.

Your bike is pretty much a blinged up EC300. You dont need to replace the seat or plastics.

Thanks for the response. I will see if it's possible to piece together a kit to meet my needs rather than getting all the stuff in this kit. May be able to save a little $

I believe aflica did it on his 2010 nambo "I think he sold it now. I was considering it on my 10 but cannot bring myself to pay 1000 bucks for the kit when she kicks over so easy. I will admit once in a blue moon I'd like to push that button :)

I'm hoping to find just the parts I need and not spending 1k, but don't know if that's possible. I'm working with a local dealer that just setup shop to find out what he can do for me. Not gonna spend a grand on the button. That's just crazy.

I tried recently as well to do it cheaper but after I sourced a seller of the e-start assembly itself I still had to buy the subframe which put me up at original cost. You don't need a new sub-frame do you? If you don't there is one for sale in the parts section right now just without the subframe

It's sold already.

If your still loking get ahold of Evan at Solid Performance 484-593-0095. He has an estart kit he would like to get rid of.

nambo-trev 03-13-2012 09:45 AM

Does he have the subframe as well?

Thanks for posting! The dealer I am buying my Nambo has offered me a great price for purchasing with the bike. So I'm all set.
