Adding Battery - 300 Wild HP

Is there an easy way to just add an Battery to my Wild HP with an EC 300 engine?

See if your wiring matches the diagram and then hook it up.

Thank you for your reply.
im really bad at reading diagrams :D but thanks for that...

i could follow the wires from the generator to the cdi and look at the colors but thats it :D

can you give me a hint where i can hook it up when my wiring is like in the diagram?

Well the diagram is definitely confusing. It looks like three different voltage sources, but it's actually only two. The rightmost "G" is showing the single winding that powers the CDI and also shows the ignition trigger. The center "G" is showing the lighting coils. Both of the "G"s represent the Kokusan 2K3 stator. Wire 31 is the AC ouput that the regulator "REG" clips to maintain a reasonable AC voltage. The wire at location 23 is what you would feed to a rectifier to create DC voltage for battery charging. Wire 56 at location 31 on the righthand "G" is actually the same point as wire 31 on the lefthand "G".

But what will the battery do? The whole machine runs on AC power. The external windings "V" appear to create DC voltage on wires 64 and 65. Those wires connect to rectifier "REC". It must be used to limit peak DC voltage.

If the battery is needed to run lights I suggest you make up a new external DC system. Measure the DC voltage output at 64 and 65. If it stays stable at varying RPM, connect your battery there. Connect the external lights to the battery through a switch.

I doubt it is practical to convert the entire machine to run on DC.
