You may think I'm dumb...
.... But on a 2011 six days, the Ohlins shock has a black plastic knob around the lower part of the shock shaft for rebound adjustment.
Which way does what? I'm thinking CCW looking down the shock shaft is less rebound damping |
Yes. Counter clockwise for faster rebound.
|
Clockwise for slower, but be careful. As usual, the circuit is shared with compression.
The more you slow down the damping, the more you increase the damping. |
Thanks, guys.

Hmmm I'm at 10 clicks out from full soft.
I started counting clicks from full hard, usually I like to express and record clicker settings as " clicks out from full hard" When I had got to 45 clicks with no stop, I went back the other way. No stop at full hard? |
If you are laying under the bike, looking up at the rear shock.
CW = more damping CCW = less damping |
Thanks, that makes more sense.
I set both compression and rebound to 17 clicks out. This is a new bike to me, so I have a couple of weeks of suspension fiddling to do.....It works pretty well right now and shows great promise. Boy does this turn nice, kinda reminds me of a mid '90's CR250 I had back in the day. |
Is is a dampoer rod, and needle that seat in the shaft to reduce the rebound flow. Looking from the clevis/bottom of the shock, closing it or turning clockwise lifts the needle into the seat. Opening it up ccw allows the needle to move away from the seat.
