Doesn't look like its a dual filament.

I'll agree that my 2011 Gas Gas has required more setup than my previous bikes, but it does handle good and I like the engine characteristics now that it is setup. It's a good bike, but not good enough to keep me from looking elsewhere when it's time for a new bike. Gas Gas is still in the running though.

Mine on my 13 failed as well. Trailtech makes a 1157 LED which will work as a taillight and a break light. With some trimming with a die grinder i was able to get the 1157 to fit inside the stock houseing. I sodered the wires from the orginal to the base of the new light and good to go.

First, I thought buying a used bike was the reason it seems I have to wrench on it all the time (('07 ec300)). On the bright side of wrenching, I enjoy it, and I really know my bike now.
Second, I cancelled my order for the GasGas taillight when I found out it was 70 something and bought the Polisport tail light from RMATVMC, had to extend the wires and solder the connections, but it has worked for 9 months without taking in water. 24 bucks. And if I loop out and break it off, I won't cry.
It is still the sweetest bike I have ever ridden. Always puts a smile on.

Are the problems typical of most newer Gasser's? clutch cover, pipe welds,gas cap? I have yet to ride mine 11' 250 race-new leftover

'12s have a few annoying issues, but are not a big deal to fix. My buddy got a leftover '12 knowing this and we went through the bike this weekend and set it up right before he even rides it. If you do this, the bike is bulletproof. The pipe weld thing is rare. '13s have a lot of this stuff addressed. Did you get a '12 or '13?

FWIW, A GG linkage serviced with orings, not seals, is maintanence free for an entire year. I have proven this for several years now, and no longer tear my linkage down mid season. On the '12/'13, there are 7mm wide seals in the rocker and frame that can be replaced with two of the same 3.5mm orings used in the swingarm for a double redundant seal. The lower bearing on the Ohlins shock is maintanence free. PDS on the other hand, has an appetite for heim joints from what I have seen and experienced.
