head torque spec

What is the torque spec for the 6 head bolts on my 08 ec300? I'm assuming incrementally tightening in a star pattern?

Here ya go
Place the cylinder head and tighten the screws in diagonal
pairs. Use thread lock.
Tightening torque: 25 Nm
- Check that the support surface of the thermostat cover is
perfectly clean.
- Fit the thermostat cover with a new gasket and tighten the
screws -1-. Use thread lock.
Tightening torque: 10 Nm

BTW 25nm roughly converts to 18.4 FT/lb

Right on thanks! Where can I find a service manual for this bike?

Sorry to be bringing this back up but would these settings be the same as the 2002 ec300? Also is it better to build the o rings for the head in dry or coated with grease or three bond sealer? Thanks.

Same, use dry, preferably from viton if you buy them locally.

Note that some of the torque specs in this document are WAY off. Important ones too. Both sides of crank, and clutch basket nut. Refer to the table above.

Cheers couldn't get them to stay in place so used a small amount of stickey grease to keep them in place I ordered the o rings and copper washers direct from gas gas so fingers crossed the problem stops. Thanks.

Another way to keep them in place is to stretch them out for a few minutes, then install the head when they are the "right size." I roll the outer o ring over the outside of the cylinder to stretch it, and I have a coffee can for the inner o ring. Give them a few minutes stretching out, set up all of the bolts, then put it all together in one quick shot before they shrink down.
