2002 250 Carb Mod?

HI I was wondering if any of you guys could I identify and perhaps give me the low down on why my 2002 Pampera (which has a 2001 TXT engine I believe) has the attached Mikuni Carburetor

I think the original owner might have switched it out or they came with them. Not a bad carb just need some tunning.

Original Carb was a Delorto just wondered why the change is it acommon mod?

Well a Mikuni is east to get parts for.

That just may be a standard solution to the Delorto being an issue. Seem to remember seeing posts about it on some Trials sites.
