TMD skid plate
I see TM design works have a nice looking skid plate http://www.tmdesignworks.com/index.p...roducts_id=966
but only listed for 2012 + bikes. Anyone tried it out? would it also fit on earlier models? |
nobody?
(since others are complaining about the forum being quiet i figured this would be a good time to get some answers on the unanswered posts!) |
Since you were referring to me I'll respond even if I don't have an answer lol. Sounds nice from the description. I have a Hyde on my 2010. I like it but it is a pain in the butt to put back on after you remove it.

We have a TMD in red at the shop, it looks pretty good. Better than the AXP as it has no welds. I just tossed my AXP at 15hrs because it was trashed, hope yours holds up better.

Does the tmd fit the 2010's?
|
We don't have any older ones here or I would check.
Here's my AXP with 15hrs, note the left side is coming off at the front and the back side is pretty messed up as well. http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...psfcdf99a1.jpg |
is there a good picture of the TMD one? And from your location I going to go out on a limb here... rocky trails?
|
I did think about the weld coming apart but thought the chances were slim of it happening :-/
The Hyde is also lacking in coverage at the left foot peg, this looked better in the pics. Now just need to get someone to try the tmd on an older GG. But the coverage at the back end seems less than the axp |
I'll try to remember to take a pic of the TMD tomorrow but it won't be on an older bike. Might hold it up to a 13 though. I opted for a Scorpion plate because I was hoping it would hold up better and it seems to have good coverage.
