I don't see it.....
My tires on the rear are dry rotted, it is a Michelin Starcross MH2. What are you all running for red clay trails that are in the woods. With rocks and crap that can get slick? Where I want to ride has some nice trails with some rocky sections that can get steep, but not really a huge hill climb. What tire will work for the slick red clay stuff? My Honda ATV does ok, but still slides a bit, so I know a dirt bike will slide more than my quad. |
Wide open as to what each of us like . Since I use tubeless I like harder sidewalls AT 81 are nice . But some of us use trials tires I am using Vee soft tires and just got an equalibriam .

For the money and life you could probably run the Dunlop AT81 rear and a mx32 front and be pretty happy.
That being said I use GoldenTyres. GT216 front and a GT230 rear. They are pretty pricey though and work best with a mousse because the carcass is really thin and they are prone to punctures. But as far as performance there isn't a better tire on the market right now. The GT216 front lasts forever but the rear wears pretty quick. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
I run Pirelli's, MX32 front soft to medium....rear I like the MX 32 Pro and the ExTRa X which works good in soft to medium. Run a 100/90/18...seems to work a little better than a 110 on the rear. just my .002

A 100? I run a 120/100 on the rear. Lol

Metzeler MC5 Front and Rear. The MC 5 is good in clay and the knobs won't tear off on the rocks. I run tubeless as well.

Yes....a 100......its a 200, not a 250 or 300! IMO a 100 fits a 100-200cc. 110 for 250cc 2stroke and 250 4 stroke and 120 for big bores.......of course its a personal preference...riding style, feel and ability. |
Metzaler mc4 is the best I've ridden in red clay, it's sketchy in the dry when you spin it up though, not at all progressive in a power slide or brake slide, metzeler 6 days soft for the front in clay.

Especially in technical terrain. Controlling wheel spin is everything. |
