Whats happening to Gasgas South Africa

Can someone please tell me what’s happening to GasGas South Africa? Apparently we have a new franchise owner and nobody really knows what’s happening. The normal contact for spares in JHB has informed me that he hasn’t ordered spares for 6 months. I ride a 2007 EC 300 which is a fantastic bike , but its sounds like its becoming an exotic. Guys that I ride with are quite keen to upgrade to a GasGas but the spares availability put them off. Is this just a South African scenario or is the normal for GasGas internationally

Malcolm

Give Trevor a call: 021 447 6130

He is the new owner and can sort you out. When I spoke with him last week he was busy ordering from Spain.

Thanks Dingo! Trevor sounds like a great guy. It sounds like there's big things in the pipeline for gasgas next year.

Does anyone know how they are going to distribute bikes and parts under the new "regime" yet. Personally, the way the old bunch did it, together with their pricing swings was just unacceptable and really Mickey Mouse-ish. We must have close to 20 GasGas bikes around where I live and everybody is getting really fed up with the constant chopping and changing.

From the way I understand it, they are planning to standardise the service levels with anyone holding a dealership. Quotas, stock etc will be requirement of the dealership.

In addition they plan to travel alot to the dealers to support them.

I feel that were in for some really good service from 2009!

When is all this going to kick in??

Dingo 12-22-2008 03:09 AM

As far as I understand it, early 2009.
