Speaking of "Four-Stroke Dreams,"

What is this 300F on their page?

That is a 2014 year bike. It says NEW2014 on the lefthand side of the page.

Maybe they have a few left over.

Even if they do. Which I doubt. They would never sell them to the public.

Totally against the business model of the Torrot/GasGas company.

There seems to be some odd backdoor access to the website that holds all the old model pages that can be accessed through google search links.

Look. I can do the same thing with other models just by googling the specific model name.

Very odd.

I know it is listed as 2014.

Just wondering if there is a 2018-19-20 equivalent.

The Sherco and TM 300Fs are highly thought of.

What motor was the 2014 GG 300F?

Nothing confirmed. At this point GasGas only makes 2T and Electric bikes.
There are reliable rumours that they intend to make a completely new 4T motor that will not be based on anything owned or used by the previous GasGas company. But the rumours haven't included displacement information. It would seem to reason that a 450 and 300 or 350 will be the first to market.

I'd expect to see an announcement about a 4T line sometime in the next year. Possibly for a 2019 release. Gonna be a hard sell for them though since many Gasser fans are also 2T fans. I have faith they will succeed.

IIRC the 300F was a modified Yamaha WR250F motor. But don't quote me on that. I'd going totally off my memory which seems to be in short supply lately.

Yes, it was a Yamaha motor with an Athena big bore kit.

Old news but the "new" 4T engine can be from old Husqvarna iventory.

http://www.formulamoto.es/elementosW...s_concept.jpeg

https://transmoto.com.au/ktm-sells-i...ology-gas-gas/

* This was claimed to be the lightest 4T 250cc engine in the market.
* Engine is ready and I hope they keep financial healthy this time.
* Husky owners tested it before and few engine issues is known and can be fixed now.

There was a GasGas 315cc prototype on EICMA 2014 with this engine:

GasGas/Torrot people have been on this site confirming that they will not be using the old Husky tech that they had purchased. Any move to a 4T engine will be a completely new in house designs. So unless they backpedal on that decision I doubt we'll ever see that Italian Husky motor again.
Remember that this isn't just GasGas anymore. Torrot has seriously deep pockets and really wants to see success.
