Vapor Trailtech

Can any body help with my Vapor trailtech.

I have a 1998 EC250

I have been trying to set up the PPR (pulses per revolution)

There is three pages in the book in the data setting mode
Step one needs to know how many pulses per revolution the options are 0.5/1/2

Step two states that the pulses on certain vehicles change over a certain RPM, I need the RPM that the PPR changes (if applicable)

Step three is subject to step two, if the PPR changes at a certain RPM then the PPR needs to be ammended again options are 0.5/1/2

I have checked the trailtek website just to see if there is any information with regards to makes and models unfortunately there is nothing there.

help would be much appreciated.

Im pretty sure you set the pulse (first one) to 1. The rest you dont need.

the trailtech's, are they really made for specific bikes or can you use the same one on differnet bikes at all?

The KTM model with the threaded sensor threads right into the OEM sensor hole on the front brake carrier.

Sensor hole? do i have one on my EC300 2002 model or is this a later model thing?

Might be a later thing. I have a 2004 with zoke forks.

i have the KTM mount on my 2002 EC300 with the WP forks (although the sensor threads into the caliper carrier). You should be OK.

im not sure what forks i have  all silver upside downs with black coated lowers (as per my suzuki gsxr1000), i thought they where marzocchi's on the 2002??... if it just screws into the caliper carrier, then fine. Does it work by having a bit attached to a spoke as per pushbikes?

If so, i think i may put a speedo on the bike ;)

thanks lads.

with the sensor in the 8mmx1.25 threaded hole, i JB Welded (if that is a verb) a magnet onto one of the "spokes" on the brake disk. So far, so good. I bought a small, round magnet at the hardware store.
