2013 Ec250 wiring

Hi all. I?m hoping for a little bit of help if that?s possible. I recently bought the ec250 and I?m trying to figure out some of the wiring. It looks like a previous owner has stripped all switchgear and just taped all wires up basically Meaning none of the lights work. I wouldn?t mind being able to get these wired back up somehow but I?m wondering where they would originally have got power from.
Am I right I?m thinking that as it?s a kickstart only model it wouldn?t have been to a battery? If not does anybody know where else it needs wiring took? Thanks.

You're in luck mate! I have a 2013 EC250R and just went through my harness to get the bike ready for sale.

Where are you located?

Do you have the switch block still?

First point of call is to check you have power on the yellow cable. Comes from the stator to run the lighting circuit. Few points along the harness you can probe.

Hi I am in the uk. Unfortunately I have nothing other than the front light, rear light and kill switch. Oh and the map switch is still there too.

The kickstart bikes came without a battery. The light runs off AC (I belive it still was like that in 13, although my 15 is different) and there should be a small regulator placed somewhere close to the coil. As Jacobi said, the yellow wire is your source of AC power.

Please have a look at https://gasgas.com/en/manuals?c=enduro&y=2013 there are the manuals. On pages 16-17 there are schematics. perhaps not the most accuirate, but useful anyway.

Have a chat with the UK importers. Www.trialendurodirect.com or www.gasgasuk.com.

They should know what yoh need. Speak to Andy in spares, he knows all there is to know.

Thank you both for your help I will have a look and see if I can find the power from the yellow power wire go from there!

You'll need to source a switch block or splice something in..

I have an entire spare wiring loom here that I was given from a 2013 that upgraded to an e-start (different loom req to add battery etc).

In short, the yellow AC comes direct from the stator. Under the tank on the frame you'll have the CDI which connects into the loom, a regulator (small black box mounted to frame, and the coil.

Everything else then runs up around the head stem and has plugs for the headlight, blinkers, horn, etc. I can't recall from memory, but I think the flasher unit for the blinkers was also included in the switch block on this model. They aren't a cheap replacement.

This gives you an idea of the loom: https://www.motocrosscenter.com/shop...50-racing-2013

Ref. EE10000043012 costs 85 Euros...

Thank you for the info. I will have to pull it all apart over the weekend and see exactly what I do and don?t have in play still.
