Carb overflow question
Just curious as it happened on my ktm...has anyone ever had their carb keep overflowing after changing premix ratios? Say from 38:1 to 50:1?

The float needle isn't seating/sealing. If you use gas with ethanol in it then the rubber tip of the needle may be degraded.
If it doesn't have a rubber tip then there may be some crud in there or the float is sticking. I can't imagine how the oil ratio could be the cause of this though. |
I'm thinking that different premix oils have different viscosity.

I've had several bikes do this to me this year. In all situations the float needle looked perfect. I replaced them anyway and the problem stopped. It's just ethanol fuel....

I run 93 ethanol free. I'm going to check the float level. Might go ahead and replace the float needle too.
