I spoke to him about the 36 vs 38 on my 250 and the fact that I'm a short-shifter and that I want more bottom the Keihin already gives me all the top end I want.
He agreed with my hypothesis that the 36 would suit my needs.
However, if I were on a 300, based on the 300s that I have ridden, I would go with a 38 for that bigger bored bike.
I'm just tailoring the bike to my needs, not attempting to assume that my quirks would fit the majority.
