MY fse did that yesterday. After a bumpy ride I stopped at my mailbox to pick up the mail. Shut the bike off. It restarted but as soon as I put it it gear it shut off. After a few attempts, It did run but poorly. Barely made it home. I restarted it at home and it kept doing it. Than I noticed that the red ignition light was coming on and off as it stalled.
My problem was there was just 1 or 2 strands of wire still connected to one side of the ignition switch. Soldered the one side back up and that fixed it.
