After posting the above, wiring diagrams may seen confusing at first but here are the basics...
HEADLIGHT: - Yellow is the "hot" wire. This gives power to lights, horn, etc..
- Run the yellow wire to a toggle switch to control the lights, etc.
- From the light switch, GG typically uses violet wire to run to the tailights and headlight. So, the violet wire is "hot" where toggle switch is "on".
- The ground wire is yellow with green stripe.
- You need to run a ground wire from the light to the bike's yellow-green wire.
KILL SWITCH:
The typical kill switch is a two-wire switch (commonly, black wire and black with white stripe wire). - The wire coming from the CDI is either black with yellow stripe or grey wire.
- Connect this wire to one of the kill switch wires (it doesn't matter which one). Let's use black with white stripe for now.
- Then, connect the remaining kill switch wire (black) to the bike's ground wire which is yellow with green stripe.
Hope this makes sense. Let us know if you run into issues.
