i rebuilt mine on my old 01 with that 2 part epoxy steel putty.one side was worn right through the bottom of the post. sand it with about 100 grit,form your new post with the putty,and before it dries up,grease the float pin and reinstall the pin and float. twist the pin a bit as it dries to be sure it's free in there. when its dry disassemble and clean up and shape the post that you just made with a file . mine worked for years with no problems!
