Default spring rate q, and opinions.

ok, i was tinkerin around with my suspension last night, and found that my rear shock leaks like a sieve. so i need to get the seal replaced, no big deal, should be done anyways. but.....
right now my sag is at i think 105 race sag, 50 static sag. the preload is set around 12ishmm, and i have a 5.2 spring, and i weigh 160ish nekkid. talked to les and he said that a 5.2 is a little bit heavy for me, and that a 5.0 would be more correct for my weight. i tried to ignore the sag and just go for about 8mm preload, as par the preload sticky thread, and that just made turning horrible. is it going to be worth my money to have my spring replaced with a 5.0 when i do the seal? i think somebody had a 5.0 that he would sell me, and i could probably turn around and sell my 5.2 again, and maybe make my money back.
what do you guys think?
