Like you as you know i have had fork issues. I believe my shivers are now working well; but;
Recently bought a EC300 with full ohlins.
Ride out yesterday and took both bikes
1998 EC with 07 Shivers
2007 EC with Ohlins
In a nutshell the Ohlins work far better rutted corners insertion was spot on.
Tight stand up corners turning in far better.
Fast sweeping corners more stable.
Swapping between both bikes the ohlins are far better. Although it may not be just the forks making the 300 feel good to ride it may be the whole package.
