I went through the thread. You are absolutely right that the Voyager is like a Model T Ford and the Garmin is a Porsche. The problem is the size and the mount. If you ride in rough tight whoop filled singletrack the mount for the Garmin won't hold the unit in place and exposes the unit to damage in a crash. On ADVRider several people complained that the ball on the Garmin mount would not keep the unit in position. I am open to any suggestions for mounting the Montana. The lowest price that I have found is about $550.00 plus shipping. The Voyager retails for $279.00 and the protector mount is about $89.00 additional. So the price differential isn't that much. I'll be mounting this on a 2011 GG EC 300 with electric start. Does anyone have any suggestions?
