I just installed EBC rear pads number fa367r, I blew my rear pads out in two rides so will try these sintered. EBC stated to not use the factory shims on their pads so I did not, didn't say why, fit perfect, ran it around the yard enough to seat them in, noticeably more "sticky" than the oe, not as progressive a brake feel, however, once stinkin hot, they maintain the sticky but become more progressive? regardless, that is a good part number to cross if needed.

And yes, I keep my eye on the cotter pin on each ride, and have the pin safety wired. I saw this "threaded" stainless pin mentioned here on ebay, for both front and rear, no directions, so I'm guessing you have to tap out the caliper to install. I would likely use this if I were to lose my original, might as well try it if you have to buy one anyway, would still recommend crossdrilling the head and safey wire regardless.
