I have the 300 and it is really great for chugging up climbs, you can almost go at walking pace and keep going, twist the throttle and it moooooves out!
I had a kx250 2t and to be honest i cannot say that the 300 is any harder to move around than the old kx, it is only 50cc diff, but pays dividens when climbing the gnarly stuff, and does not run out of legs on the open road
