The plan for our first day of riding was to hit the Boundary Trail and take that to one of the trails we haven't hit previously: Juniper Ridge. It's easy to forget just how incredible this area is for riding, the Boundary Trail seems to go on and on with all kinds of excellent terrain. We had a great time riding that section and then wondered into the unknown of Juniper Ridge.

What an amazing trail! Although there are some sections that made my BP shoot far too high, the majority of the trail is simply epic. Incredible views, awesome riding, and it's not over in 20 minutes. There's nothing quite like being up high enough to see Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Rainier all from the same vantage point. We also stumbled across mountain goats along the way, which was a 1st.

It took a while to navigate Juniper Ridge and our goal was to try and be back before our buddy JP reached camp - didn't quite make it...lol. Rather than head out for a quick rip on one of the great trails close by, we kicked back in camp, ate good grub, and drank good whisky.

Here are shots from the day's ride and then back at camp.
