The new frame is almost exactly like the old one. Yes the welds look alittle different, the main difference is the inside of the parameter area is hollow - like a new aluminum YZ250-450F frames. It felt a couple pounds lighter when you picked it up. The picture you guys saw with the Namobitin replica stuff. That bike had the new frame. They were in the process of testing that frame when I was there. Boni said it should handle much the same only better (lighter). And I wouldn't count on an electric start 2s any time soon, nor would I want one, but you never know what they have up their sleeve. I also found it interesting they are going back to the Ohlins shocks again. I know most of the factory guys prefer them although I like the sachs stuff quite abit. That sounds like the best version of the Ohlins. I love the fact that Gas Gas never reinvents the wheel. They find what works and continually tweek it year in and year out. I have been riding them for the last 6 years and I know them so well now, I can set a bike up race ready without having to really even ride them anymore. They out handle every bike on the market IMO. Look at all the other Manufactures they change frames every 2-3 years and it seams like they never truely get it right. KTM for example (they are getting better)
