Thumbs up

Matt,
It's running lean at at least one throttle position which you were using a good bit during the ride.
It is entirely possible to run lean in one circuit of the carb, while running rich in another.
Normally, it's the wfo top gear runs that do that (turn the plug white), at least on my machines when I do long stretches of gravel road at high speeds.
When I was running a bike with a AS1 carb, and the weather was cool, I often ran a 185 main for hare scramble racing. The rest of the carb's settings can be adjusted to work just fine with the 185 main.

Happy New Year!
Jim
