I save a fortune running a trials tire for trail riding and racing if conditions are right (or wrong
). I can keep one for over a season, wear does not matter much, the compound getting harder over time seems to have more effect. I used to trash a good knobby in a couple rides here, now I can keep the same knobby all year if I just useit in truely soft terrain. What I saved in tires I spent on spare wheels for easy swaps.
Up 10 - 18% ? I can imagine what truck and sportbike tires will be this year. It will make the off road tire costs for the year seem cheap.
