The yz250x never crossed my mind. No lighting coil, kick start, cable clutch and 5 speed gear box no way not for me. After spending 2 hours riding my favourite ST on one, I must have!
I have a well set up Beta race and my wife has a EC250 with SSS front suspension that I ride also and that Yamaha flat out works way better than I thought it would.
If you get a chance make sure you ride one before you say no.
