Yea it's a great thing to have..
it's safer mounted the way it is too although if the sheath is on it's not that bad in the backpack .. but when you duck sometimes the handle still doesn't clear. I was lucky a friend makes them for friends so it was a gift. I was just carrying one of those folding saws but the machete or cane knife is the best. On my cr it's even better up front as I can just pull it out of the sheath when I'm still on the bike and swing a couple hacks to some brush and grass from the saddle. Here's a shot of some others setups on their bikes..we were just trying to cut to get through this section and plotting a better line.
