What area do you live in? The fan is excellent for riding in tight single track with sudden elevation changes. It allows me to ride harder because I know the cooling system will not boil over, period. I set a warning light on my trailtech that flashes when I get to 200 degrees plus. If I am coming in to a steep tough section I have a manual fan switch on my bars and click the button to activate the fan.It works very well.
