As you already have experienced, info on these bikes are not easy to find. I have no first hand experience either, but give an answer based on my assumptions:
1. I would be very surprised if the SM have another engine than the FSE / FSR (when it comes to gaskets).
2.The DRZ have great similarities with the Gasgas engine. Whether the gaskets fit, I don't know. The WR450 was used in later Gasgas450 bikes, but is quite different to the original engine (like the one you have).
3. I don't know about parts availability. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.
