Yes, power was more predictable than on the GP I had as a reference bike that day. And the starter works whether the engine is stone cold or hot. They have really improved that. Personally I think the new, bigger battery is really not necessary as the starter worked flawless with the much smaller 2018 battery.

The bar pad fits tight and touches the dash display, but only just. But dont forget that the 19's dash display sits on a new plastic bracket and hence is a bit farther away from the bar clamps than on the 2018.

It may be interesting for you that a British GasGas dealer mentioned that you can update the 2018 CDI with the data used on the 2019 CDI. If he didnt tell BS the update makes a difference.... Of course I have no clue if thats true or not, but it seems so as he offered to update the 2018 CDI's for free...
