'12s have a few annoying issues, but are not a big deal to fix. My buddy got a leftover '12 knowing this and we went through the bike this weekend and set it up right before he even rides it. If you do this, the bike is bulletproof. The pipe weld thing is rare. '13s have a lot of this stuff addressed. Did you get a '12 or '13?

FWIW, A GG linkage serviced with orings, not seals, is maintanence free for an entire year. I have proven this for several years now, and no longer tear my linkage down mid season. On the '12/'13, there are 7mm wide seals in the rocker and frame that can be replaced with two of the same 3.5mm orings used in the swingarm for a double redundant seal. The lower bearing on the Ohlins shock is maintanence free. PDS on the other hand, has an appetite for heim joints from what I have seen and experienced.
