The next improvement in battery technology should provide enough range for my needs.
So I'm going on a ride this weekend. We do 3 days, approx 90-100miles each day, Basically about 50 to a gas station, then 50 back or so..
We're buried in the bush, no electricity, and no generators...

Even if we brought generators we'd need a minimum 50 mile range to find someone who has a generator to recharge at a lunch stop or something, then be able to ride back to keep doing our favourite loops.

Or realistically a bike with a minimum 100 mile range to be safe... When bikes can hit 120 miles or so to a charge and have a 1/2 hour recharge time, I'll start looking at them...

the Dacre Rally is 350-400 miles in one day for my class, Gonna be a long time before I can run that on an e-bike.

I just can't see switching anytime soon. Not for what I do with my bike...
I know I'm asking the world, But my two stroke with an IMS tank is perfect, and gas stations are plentiful and cheap.
