Sorry, I am not trying to stir the pot of controversy here. I am just trying
to understand what motors are what.
In the end. My ultimate goal was to try and find a big bore high performance
cylinder and piston for the GasGas SM50. If the TXT80 cylinder and piston
will fit on the SM50 cases or not. And weather the port timing and
compression could be played with to move the power up from a torquey
trials motor to street useable HP motor in the SM50.
My knowledge in this area is so limited. I am trying to learn from you folks
that have already trudged through the mud on the path of enlightenment.
