Lots of elevations. The course was laid out like the petals of a flower (sort of): Run on the old course, take a right turn for a 2-6 mile loop, return to the old course for 10 miles. Take a left turn for a 2-4 mile loop, etc. The loops held some short but steep elevation changes, with lots of loose rocks buried in sand.
