Having finally sorted my carb problems (leaking jet block - see my other posts) I now have two set ups that work well

Bike year & model = 2005 250 EC
Temperature (degF) = 5-25 'C
Elevation (feet) = sealevel + 1000ft
Main jet = 180
Pilot jet = 40
Needle & notch = DDK - 4.
Air screw setting = 2
Throttle valve/slide = stock #7

This is my favorite setting, Needle #3 to lean - idle hangs a little after technical stuff, but clip 4 is perfect. Hit is smooth and really easy to control in tech stuff & slippy conditions. Fuel consumption also very good.

This is much harder hitting - wheelies are almost too easy, strong power everywhere. Spluttery low throttle in the tech stuff and feels to rich. Throttle response is however great. Next time I ride a mx track or enduro I would try this set up. Much heavier on fuel compared to the 1st set up.
